Default Not Happy! (power loss)

Ive noticed lately that the power in my ute is down on when I first put the extractors on, and Ive got no idea why.

My ute is an AUII xr6 vct 5spd.
Streetfighter headers, 2 1/2 redback cat back exhaust
xr8 intake, kn panel filter

I took my brothers ute for a drive (175kw storm) just to see the difference. His pulls a fair bit harder than mine at the moment, and it didnt when I first got the mods done...

Now, with the mods done, Id expect my ute to beat his pretty easily, but it doesnt, and its a holden :

Havent changed plugs / leads in close to 30,000 k's, so that will be the first thing to change.

Any ideas?

is it actually down on power and speed, or is just that you are so used to it now it feels slow.

No, that is what I thought at first, but, when I first got the headers, I eat my brother's storm fairly easily, but now he beats me pretty easily, go figure.... :

Mate the au reads its base maps with every mod and sabotages our power gains. You are still quicker but not as quick. If you arent getting more mods, get an edit or chip to get it running nice again.

Now why didnt I think of that?

Will do on the weekend, and see what happens. If it does fix the problem a bit more, might be time for an edit of chip...

Well, I took the advice and reset the ECU on the weekend, and boy, what a difference! It really feels like it come to terms with the mods I did (namely headers).

I didnt reset the ecu after putting the headers on, so I think that made the difference...

Did you do the whoel idle with a/c on for 2 minutes, idle with a/c off, etc? Or just disconnect battery, leave it for a while, then reconnect and take it for a blast?

Yeah, followed the instructions on aufalcon.com, I never thought reseting the ecu would make so much of a difference, but it did, feels like it should be feeling for the mods on it...
