you have to be kidding, who would pay that much for a GT?
I still dont understand WHY they can get to that price range, when a mock Gt that looks EXACTLY the same, has the same running gear etc, fetches not even half of what they go for!? its got me stuffed! : |

oh.. dont get me started.
It seems to be a bit silly when someone pays $40,000 for a vase, that will sit on a table thats also probably $70,000 and it does nothing.. sh|ts me to tears! |

Very nice car. Only problem with thing's like this is, you'd be too scared to drive the thing... and letting a 300hp 351ci V8 muscle car sit in the garage forever because you're scared of exposing it to the world is a shame. :(

You pay for what you get Rob. Ripped off. Seriously, how can you justify spending that amount of money on a car that is 35 years old. And i don't go for all that rubbish about the fastest every production car. That's all just hype.

some cars for sale i could hand build cheaper, but as for the real deals they are investments and should go up in value on demand, My friends in the USA made heaps on real estate so spending 150K on a shelby is not even a problem.

Guys,
If you want to see some really expensive old cars being driven hard, go down to Phillip Island this weekend. http://www.shannons.com.au/news?id=FQ323D6AO0U2O62B |

there was a XY GT with no ID plates (was stolen in the 80's), but had all documented paper work from Ford and police and insurance Company. It sold through auction for $130'000 in December last year in Brisbane.... unbelievable.........If that is any indercation, I would say that it will go for alot more, Say, 150'000..........
Just out of curiosity, are there any classic Holdens that sell for that.. |

How about 45-55G for a VN SS Group A?
Now you've got to be dreaming, although it has only 3800 on the clock apparently. http://www.shannons.com.au/pages/auc...7C7U5U38D3RJ03 |

hmmm, i know what you all mean, i just think that for 100K you could own 3 mock ups that are EXACTLY the same bar the ID tags and crap. I know someone would buy it as an investment, but whats the fun in having a car you wouldnt want to take out on public roads with the fear of it being written off?

I would rather have one of these, 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible (LHD)
and with the change I would buy a 1987 Maserati Bi-Turbo Spyder
