Angry Brake lights out, idea's?

Both brake lights are out on my AU II Falcon Ute. Have checked the globes and they are fine. Have also checked the switch on the brake pedal, it was fine. I can only think it is a problem in the wiring loom. Open to any other idea's before i hand it over to a sparky.

Check the fuse too man. They have a habit of blowing.

If you have a tow bar, check the wiring on the trailer plug, if that fails check the loom.

There are some shonky aftermarket brake light switches around. Try and purchase only genunie ford or Burson's have a brand called NICE. They have two different ones.

S60 cheap taiwan one
S60A twice the price made in the USA

Have you replaced the globes (not just checked them)? If not, for the $2 it will cost you, replace them. My wagon's left tail light was out. The brake light part of it worked, just not the taillight. The globe looked fine, but once I replaced it, all lights ended up working fine.

You'll just have to do a process of elimination.... take this out, replace this, etc... start from the lights, and work back to the fuse box...

I had a globe that looked perfectly fine .... but was actually dead ... replaced it and all was good ... can be deceiving at times when look at globes. Same can be said for fuses as well.

As AU3 Chaser said ... it's a process of elmination ... in the end you will have all new parts and you won't have to worry about it again for awhile .... which is a good thing really ...

Talking fix it

Thanks all i had another look today and decided to check the switch again and again it worked. So i pulled it out and sure enough it checked ok, but still no go when installed. I shorted the plug and that got them working, that ment the switch was to blame. I decided to just bend the bracket a bit, seeing how the switch still worked and that fix it for now anyway.
