Hi There,
Can anyone tell me if the head from a 1980 1300 Laser (sorry, I don't know the actual engine type) is the same/similar as one from a 1990 1300 (B3)? The reason I ask is that I have won an auction for a dual carb and manifold for a 1300 Laser. Unfortunately I've since found out that it was a 1980 model, not the 1990 model that I have. Will the manifold fit my head? If not, I can always onsell it so it's not a big deal but it would be nice if it does fit. Cheers Paul |

nope
the 1980 engine is an OHC chain E3 engine the 1990 is a B6 rubber timing belt totally different animal heads are way different |

I've only got a 1300 which is a B3, not the B6 (which I understand to be a 1600, correct?).

Yeah B6 is the 1600 but gjh1967 is correct

Hey there,
Well the carbs have arrived and I must admit that I reckon that they'll look great attached to my engine Question is, what is the best/easiest/cheapest way to do it? I thought of getting my hands on a B3 inlet manifold and modifying it so the twin carbs will fit. Or modifying the manifold that the carbs are attached to, to fit my head. Has anyone done this before? Or even easier, is there a manifold for the B3 that the carbs will fit? Or, any other ideas? As always, Thanks |

cant you just buy an adaptor plate or have one made out of aluminium . plus a gasket
a performance shop or other
