Hey just wanted to know if any has installed one of these themselves? had a go the other day with a mate. now we assumed it just couldnt be done from the inside of the car because of the body work was covering the forward 2 bolts of the original shifter. so we figured u have to undo the cross member to let the gearbox down so u can reach the forwards screws. as we were about to undo the last gearbox cross member the exhaust got in the way and we couldnt manage to get it un done. by this stage we decided it was all to hard and put everything back together. can anyone give me some tips or is it worth the 100 bucks for herrod to do it

Is this in an AU? It is possible to do from inside the car - remove the console, and have small hand or long swivel socket.

Rob did mine. The gearbox does need to be dropped, can't be done from the inside alone.
