Default Cams290 Joins the Boss 11 sec club

Today at Heathcote Cameron joined the 11 sec club in his Boss Pursuit.
When I left he had run 11.9 twice on some nice 60 foot times.
I have a few pics I will post later.
Congrats to Cam and G&D Performance.

Well done Cam great effort by yourself and G & D. Will be good to see what she runs when you get a few of those things sorted and the time will no doubt lower again

I think the 60's were in the high 1.60's... 1.68 from memory

Was great to see it run today Cam. Consistant 11.9's all day, got to be happy with that. I see it getting faster too as it was its first run out of the box for quite some time!

Thanks guys, its been a long time since i raced the car, the last time was at the LS1 nats !
We have put oil pump gears in the motor, light weight racing wheels and full slicks, a G&D adjustable rear end, took the tail gate off, the passenger seat out, and dropped the exhaust.
And it was running a STANDARD THROTTLE BODY.
My SS one was taken off and put on another car, and i thought i wouldnt need it until the AFF meet, but today came up in a hurry so i had no choice but to run the standard one.

This car has gone from a 13.1 to a 11.9 in only 3 meetings, and has never been run at Calder, where times are generally faster.
There has been no cam timing alterations to the motor, contrary to what some people think, it has had the timing chain tensioners and oil pump gears and thats all !

Thanks to the boys at G&D, and to Whoosha and Kev for their help.

Will try and get a light weight drivers seat in, and some more weight out, a big throttle body on, and some tweaking on the dyno and see what it runs at the AFF nats in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations Cam, about time big boy, its been a big year with your first child, and now club 11.

Well done on your time, and well done on your honesty about the details.

Nice work, I dont think you will be alone....I know a certain manual purple ute driver that may have derived a little inspiration from yesterday.

Look forward to seeing you guys on the AFF day.
