The missus has had her Mitsi Lancer smashed up, stopped at a pedestrian crossing to let an old lady cross and a bloody Landcruiser ran straight up the back of her......lots of damage, the Lancers getting fixed up under insurance, should get it back in about 3 weeks time, anyway I dont like the thought of keeping it after its been in a smash so I'm thinking of getting her a new 5 door manual LX Fiesta, it must be a 5 door so she can get the kids in and out etc, can you tell me what I can expect to have to pay for a new 5 door LX?....and if possible what did everyone else have to get one, I'm looking of course to get the best deal possible on one.....any help would be appreciated, cheers, Rob.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife and her lancer... It's gotta be the land cruiser's fault.
Regarding the 5-door Fiestas, well she would still be able to get the kids in and out of the 3-door one. But if you really wanna get the manual 5-door one, im guessing that it'd would cost you $18,000-18,500 on road. |

Bloody 4WD owners think they own the roads driving their big tanks. Well I paid 17679 for my 5 door LX in Moondust Silver, could of had it for 17399 in white or red. Mind you I had to order mine as they had none in stock, so cant wait to pick it up in another week or so.

Adelaide dealers are doing 5 door LXs for $15888 driveaway at the moment, not much help to you in Queensland but it might even still be cheaper freighted over.

Wow that is a really cheap price, especially considering that a 5 door Lx is supposed to be $16490 plus dealer delivery and rego etc. |

Thats really cheap, they may be 05 plated models or possibly WP's A 5door RRP is $19500, be mindful that there isnt as much room to move on price as there is on a large car like a tezza or falcon. The cheapest i've ever seen a 3dr is about $16,888 a 5dr is generally about $500 more.

I was told Ford DEALERS purchase WQ Zetecs for $12,000 each .... the rest is profit.
I wonder how true that is...

Stillwell Ford at Medindie is doing those prices. Something tells me that Ford have quite a margin in their cars, I had a dealer give away on road costs over the phone one day when I rang to see if any Focus demos were about.

Then get a Focus CL Auto Hatch. Would be better then the Corolla!
Oh, and I do believe they are drive-away lately at a few dealers...

After a couple of months in the business, it seems that Ford pricing seems to be an optimistic (on their behalf) guideline more than anything else. If only I knew that when I bought my Fez. Nonetheless I'm still pretty happy with the package I got then.
