******* BRONCOS! I support two teams, the Cowboys, and anyone who plays the bloody Broncos. Don't care who beats them, anyone. I've seen the players, arrogant pricks out on the town, and the fans are almost as bad.

Well done to Brisbane.
I hope the Storm make the GF and we'll see the best 2 teams for the year go head to head.

Although I'm from Melbourne, I won't be disappointed to see Brisbane win.

If St George-Illawarra beat the storm, then go you Broncos!

heartbraking to watch that game tonight the bulldogs can never hold a lead through the second half but if it comes down to it the storm will have the consistensy to keep the broncos at bay and the dragons the skill to pierce the defence.

Wouldnt it be Ironic (READ: Cool) if it the NRL has no NSW teams in it... we already know the AFL will have no Victorian teams in it....! Signs of a truly national competition

Broncos might just have gotten themselves another premiership, who knows how the storm will play tomorrow, and if they lose, who knows if the dragons have got what it takes to beat the bronco's again.... One thing for sure, it should be a cracker of a final.....

Broncos smashed them, plain and simple. Bulldogs didn't let them have it, the simply ran out of puff and couldn't keep up. Lets Go Broncos!!

It's nice to see a lot of their supporters down there were actually born in Sydney but chose to support the Broncos (had a bit of a report on it on the news) I guess you can find redemption for being a Blue ;)

And a good sign - Broncos have never lost a Grand Final match :

true, but no one has forgot that they only just beat the eels. so that puts doubt in my mind as to how far they can go. either way to me if it was out of broncos and storm it dosen't matter as both teams are QLD, but rather the broncs.

The Broncos are easily in the box seat, as the Storm won one premiership with a last gasp effort V St George-Illawarra in 1999 while the Broncos are perennially successful.

Although I sort of support the Storm, the Broncos are definitely in the box seat.

As Geelong learned, a Grand Final is a completely different game of football.
Explain an 89 point drubbing of Richmond in the prelims, then a 61 point loss to Carlton in the GF, despite losing to Carlton by 2 points during the year.

Brisbane have shown that they can stand up to the pressure of expectation...Melbourne still have to prove themselves.

Last I heard Melbourne was actually in Victoria, not Queensland _2: I reckon Bellamy has the goods to get Storm over the line anyway, they've outclassed the Broncos 3 times already this year, I reckon they can do it again, provided they can get past the Dragons tonight. Go the Storm!!!

Funny that, I remember people saying the same thing in the lead up to the 1999 Grand Final.

One Grand Final win in a team's first finals series 7 years ago doesn't mean squat. And it was a last gasp. It wasn't a case of exactly dominating. If they had lost, you wouldn't be as confident.

Brisbane continuously make the finals, play well and have won the premiership several times, while Melbourne is still developing its culture. Melbourne has done very well and is developing far better than anybody ever thought, given that it is in the city where the AFL stronghold is greatest.

As I said, a Grand Final is a different game entirely. Forget the regular season, the Grand Final is a completely different game.

Sydney in 1996 beat North Melbourne easily both at the MCG and SCG during the season, yet was beaten convincingly in the Grand Final.

That's a very broad generalisation of the support base, and the players. There could be obvious things said about the Bulldogs as a team and their supporters, and many other teams to, but that would be generalising the many based on the few. I suppose all the Cowboys and their supporters are drug snorting drop kicks? Didn't think so. But if you think none of them are arrogant pricks, then you're only kidding yourself. Try and have some reality about this.

Civoniceva clear to play NRL grand final
Monday Sep 25 12:25 AEST
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=95111
Brisbane prop Petero Civoniceva is clear to play in Sunday's NRL grand final against Melbourne after the match review committee only charged him with a grade one careless high tackle.

Civoniceva had been on tenterhooks all weekend after his high shot on Bulldogs star Sonny Bill Williams in Friday night's semi final win.

However the low grading to the charge means Civoniceva escapes suspension and will only receive carryover points as a penalty.

St George Illawarra forward Justin Poore fared much worse.

Poore was charged with a grade two dangerous throw from the Dragons semi final loss to Melbourne on Saturday and faces four to six weeks suspension to start next year.
