Can I have a go at interpretation?

Dear Drag Enthusiasts,

Rick and I would like to send a big apology to everyone who wanted to get an off-street drags going in the South Eastern Suburbs. We are only human and we made mistakes. We unfortunately made some people upset and for that we are sorry. We were only trying to get a race track happening in the South Eastern suburbs for you to race on but we have failed.

It got out of hand as we had 700 people attend but we failed to manage it properly and Rick sends his apology to Gary Morrison for all the idiots doing burnouts out the front. Rick only went out to try and ask them to stop because it was not helping the cause but some people reacted badly to this.

So we're sorry for what has happened and we wish to reassure all the drag enthusiasts that we did try hard but we have let you down and we are very sorry our efforts were not enough.

We are very sorry to all of you.

~ Rick on Goldbergs Site.

How about a sorry from the morons doing burnouts. They have pushed back Melb getting a decent drag strip some years , whilst stopping the sport from becoming national.

I hope we can continue to work towards the goal of world class facilty like WSID
