I confirmed with the seller. Appears to be either black body-colour T-series ones or Mlllennium Edition headlights:

They look really good, would be a good pickup for someone with a Fairlane.

I'm in two minds about them. I think they'd be nicer on a dark car also but otherwise I like the ones I have. At certain angles and light, you can see nicely defined XR-style circles in the headlights that make the car look angry and other times they look shiny and upmarket.

as you have seen in my photo's i have them on my white fairlane. i wasnt sure if they would look good or not. i am very happy with the look, but white and black go together very well no matter what.
i wasnt aware they made the factory lights with the black inners. o thought the TL50 had body coloured inner frames. all the photo's iv seen are body colour. |

Oh yes, you do. Your car is a bit of a Frankenstein. I think it looks good with the white around it. Yes, T-series has body colour, so I mentioned black TL50.

XR Front on an AU fairlane would look wierd. I don't think the shape of the front guards would flow with the rest of the car.

i checked out modifying the front bar to have the dips around the lights as per a BAxr but it didnt suit. i am in the process of making a front spoiler. did see a AU fairlane last week with a BA bulge and i think i will go with it.
i have never really been one to change to much from what cars had factory fitted or avaliable from options, but that bulge is great and if i were building a performance fairlane for ford i would do it. i was speaking to my freind at the dealer the other day and we were talking about BA fairlane's and what you can and cant have. as im a motor dealer i went and spoke to the dealer principle and asked what i could get. the answer was a BA fairlane with a xr8 front 290 boss motor and anything else i would like to pay for!!! i could build a fairlane gt if i wanted, so knowing that i now know what i will be driving in a year or so. |

Im a little in the middle. I dont want black lights, but i dislike the chrome lights. I think a big slab of chrome up from looks a bit gaudy on my light colored car (they look great on dark cars).
What im going to try and get done, is remove my headlights and get the chrome surrounds done in shadow chrome, so they are still chrome (avoiding the cheap look of the above lights) but give it the angry unique look i am after at the same time as breaking up the big slab of chrome.
