Default 2006 AFL grand final - who you tipping?

As the title suggests.

Based on your gut feeling.

Me personally, I want the weagles to win, but think Sydney may pull it again this year. :

drove down to watch the swannies last year, wont be this year - cant pick it to be honest - games between these two can go either way

if swans play their best no one will beat them

hehe - you smart a55es. Not everyone here follows NRL. :P

I hate to admit it but Sydney are very strong. I just hope the eagles have something a bit extra this year.

Naturally I'm hoping the Eagles, but if there's any team we can lose to it'd be Sydney.

It should be a great game eaither way- I don't follow footy one bit but when it's this close I suddenly feel an urge to be supportive and become an expert.

It is going to be a close game again no doubt, The eagles always look to be the best team on paper, but Sydneys slow gameplay seems to be the only thing that can break the Eagles down. I am going for the eagles anyway.

As the song goes, "we're the big birds, kings of the big game".
Eagle > Swan.
West coast to win. Although i hate Sydney, losing the them would be easier to bear than losing to Freo in a Grand final derby.

I don't like Sydney. They have made football boring with their insta-flood tactics. Last year's Grand FInal was ****, and to call it one of the best of all time is ridiculous.

The old West Coast Eagles song was the current song, except the current song was just the chorus. There was a bridge as well.

The bridge went:

"So watch out all you know-alls
All you wise men from the East
Oh, you'll get more than just a footy game
You'll get a West Coast Eagles feast!"

And I hope it proves to be the case!

They changed the song because it used to be very anti-everybody except WA. But because the draft was introduced and they picked up more interstaters, they changed it.

I'm a Lions supporter.
Would like to see West Coast take the trophy over the west.
But it would be great to see Sydney do it back to back. Going from not winning for 70 odd years, to winning back to back cups would be a big effort!

GO TEAM! :P
