Hey guys,
Just wondering if you guys know if theres a place on this site or another that would allow me to find part numbers for my car. I need a Drivers side mirror The piece of plastic underneath the front spoiler. Not sure what its called and its pretty much undriveable unless i take it off. And the carpet for the boot (stupid gf put a can of fibreglass resin in the back without securing the lid :( )

Hey mate
There is a "AU Parts Data" section where you can post the details you need and someone will post back the part numbers. The link is here: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=747 However for your side mirror you could use ebay. $70 plus postage. Try this link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FALCON-A...QQcmdZViewItem

Don’t buy your mirror through Ford –They’re about $250. You can buy a copy off eBay for $40-$70.
If you want to use the colour coded back off your existing mirror you will have to check that it will fit on the replacement mirror – some have the clips in different locations. Check with the seller before you buy. The other thing you are after is called a splash tray. From memory, mine cost less than $70 from Ford. You could probably get one for next to nothing from a wrecker, but you will also have to get a set of the retaining clips. |

Actually i was just looking. And i only need the reflective part. The rest of the mirror works well. Is there a way to get just the reflective piece?

www.ozeparts.com.au is where I got my replacement driver's mirror .... brand new for about $70.
I took the plastic drip tray off my ute as I had a massive oil leak ... and it was holding oil on it ... made a hell of a mess ... was annoying as well .... so it now sits in my garage ... you don't really need it.

When I had the car straightened out they fitted a new splash guard and now the front bumper seems to be much more secure. |

If it was $23 ... I would have definitely bought it from Ford.

Yes, I priced these as well. They were two hundred and forty-something.
Is ER 17C721 the reflector only, perhaps? I couldn't see any way to remove the old reflector from the housing, but I could be wrong?? |

Actually ... come to think of it ... the mirror face does separate though.
My father-in-law had his replaced after it was smashed (glass only) ... and it cost him about $30 from Ford. So if the glass section needs replacing only ... I am pretty sure it can be replaced separately now. I had to replace the entire unit though as I had a crack in the swivel mount that made the mirror wobble all over the place ... and nearly fell off on the freeway.

Bugger. All I broke was the glass. : Could have saved myself a heap of aggravation, getting the back resprayed and so forth.

Does anyone know if that drip tray is standard for most cars? As i have a mate who owns a salvage yard so i could just get it from there.
Also does anyone know how to get the glass or the mirror off the door mirrors?
