I often hear people say not to use DEX-III auto trans fluid in the Falcon 4 speed auto.
But I have some Texamatic 1888 spare incase I needed it for me old car which says "Dex-III H spec" on it, but below this it says "Ford Mecron M[numbers here]" Does this mean that it can be used on my AU's 4speed auto or do I need to get one of those other ones that people always talk about? |

BTR95L or is it BTR95LE in any event that is the ONLY fluid you should put in your 4 speed auto. Was developed just for the BTR 4 speed auto.

Alright, well I'll save the stuff I've got for power steering fluid changes then, thanks.
I'll try to get ahold of one of those 4 oils listed and use that. I've got a feeling that I'll need to pop into my local Ford dealer to get that BTR stuff, and they could charge the earth, I'll try find the castrol or Valvoline. |
