I might as well introduce myself while I'm here
I'm new to the forums too, and I get around in an '85 Ford Telstar TX5 Ghia at the moment, until I get my '89 EAII S Wagon roadworthy cert. and registered, which will hopefully be tomorrow (pending a 1/4 bald front tyre). |

NIce to meet you as well.
I suppose this is as good a place as any for the intros unless there's another thread so a big helllooooo to everybody. I now live in Melbourne..... Used to rally Datsun/Nissan in the early 80s, then went to roadracing Fords in the late 80's early 90's. I hope to see some of you at the tracks. My XR6T is currently being built, should be ready early May. "" BIG T""

The Telstar (1985 AS Telstar TX5 Ghia) is a comfortable car, it doesn't take long to get heat from the heater, and the smaller seats of the Ghia are more supportive of `spirited driving'. Central locking, power windows, and a `whiner' (audible alarm, ie key still inserted, headlights on) make it an enjoyable car, but it's as old as I am (seriously, by less than a month) and showing mechanical age. Has plenty of tuning potential, but stock... well, it was on-par with an old Tarago at the lights :P Only had the Falcon registered since yesterday evening, but already I'm reasonably comfortable with it. I do have the occasional problem finding traction accelerating out of a blind intersection : Cheers |

yeah im lookin at gettin an AU in the near future...but for the moment, my 90 TX5 Ghia is fine. very reliable, never once broken down....always starts first time every time. reasonably low km's (178,000ish) and looks are not to bad either....it does the job for now, but with my new work it clocks up 600-1000kms a week. so yeah....still running great though
