Nice car, but the asking price seems a little bit over the top to me...
Carsales EL XR8 22K [Edit] I just browsed through the rest of the XRs on offer on that site. Either I'm completely out of touch with E series values or there's a lot of dreamers out there. |

Seems a bit high, there is no mention of any mechanical changes to the HO motor so I can't see the value.

I just re-read the ad. He wants $15,500 for the wheels, stereo and plates. LMAO. Must be a monster freakin' stereo.

For a car that has done 168,000km, 15k (no extras) is a ripoff.
You could get a BAII-BF XR8 for not much more from an Auction group easily. |

When will people realise just cause you have spent $15,000 modifying the car, that doesn’t mean the car is now worth $15,000 more. :

Parents/partner mght have demanded he put it up for sale when he was suspended...could be a clever ploy to make sure he still owns it when he gets his licence back.

He may also have a massive fine to pay, and debt from all the mods, hence the high price.

Yep all tremecs, my old EF was a tremec T5. He is asking too much for it, my ef had 150,000 on the clock and it wouldnt have gone for more than 10,500. he's full of it, i can get an 03 XR6 turbo manual leather and premo sound for that price, ok it might be wholesale, but who cares, i can still get it!

Actually looks like a really nice car, i 'd proudly park her in my garage. Unfortunately, really nice cars can be had for much less in the year 2006. FPR sticker a disappointing extra :(

The red plate doesn't suite it, don't like the dished rims(or whatever their called).
Sounds like he converted it to a manual. You would be able to buy a good EL XR8 for about $11K and do the same mods cheaper. $6500 for stereo, plates, and rims second hand seems a bit rich. Doesn't sound to bad at $15,500 but still to expensive.
