Well, I've been lurking around for awhile and thought I might introduce myself and throw up some photos of the EF.
Well, name's Michael, I just go by Miller though, 17, still go to school and all that Jazz. Been a ford person since before I could remember, my mums last 4 previous cars where an EF wagon, AU1 forte, AU1 futura, AU2 XR8 and her current is an XR6T. The old man has a pontiac (gm rubbish, bit fun to drive though ;)) ZH-ZJ LTD (no idea which one) and his 2 door RS2000. Anyway, got my Ps last august and I had bought a nissan exa off my neighbour and fully sicked it up a little bit Problem is, that I would wake up of a morning wondering if the car would start or not, and I would have to cover my face driving that thing around, it was just plain embarassing. It was unreliable, leaked water (it's a targa top), constantly decided to run on 3 cylinders, backfired, broke down so many damn times, christ you name it! By christmas myself and the old man decided it was time for it to go, did a bit of hunting around on ebay and all the car trader websites and I finally landed myself the perfect car right here on the fordforums! Few details, 95 Futura, 5 speed, pacemaker extractors, high flow cat, 2.5" exhaust all the way through with 1 muffler and no tip. Interior was/is clean as, exterior almost perfect, but paint is a bit dodgy in places because I'd say it's been in an accident. The car was also located in WA so I had to get it shipped over, and when I picked it up from TNT, first thing I noticed...slipping clutch : . Ah well, put a brand spanken new clutch innit. Anyway, best part about the car that appealed to me the most, is that it had only done 103xxxkms. I was having a hard time finding an e series under 180 thousand. So here is some pics. Now, I have a question about this one Basically the timing chain snapped and bent 5 valves on the old head, so I was going to get them all replaced which would cost me about $100. Rang around a few wreckers and a fella said I could grab a tickford head off the shelf for $150. So I went down and grabbed it, tickford or not I thought it was a bargain. Anyway, after seeing a few photos of cars on here, I am not too convinced it is a tickford head. The valves are indeed about 2mm bigger on this than the old head, and there is a T cast into the front of the head underneath the serpentine belt cover thingo. Any clarification would be great ;) Now, first thing on the agenda is of course to lower the car, not for **** factor but for the fact that the car handles like a dog's breakfast, all over the place. Also going to convert the rear windows to power windows and I am looking at getting some leather interior for it, can only do this when funds permit though . Anyway, if you have read this to the end you are a champ and I DO apologize for the life story, just thought I'd say g'day! Cheers

you know mate, you could have done a buttload better with the floor mats. i've seen pregnant sixteen year olds in moe with mocossins and an xf falcon who are less bogan than you. and i'm pretty sure they're sold for about au$3.50 at super **** auto. :thebirds:

[EDGHIA] posting.
Stockies are for bogens huh?? ok?? so wat wheels do you have?? yet another person bagging out stockies??? i hope you relise that Alloy wheels also come under the clasification of "stockies". i would rather have nice black Steelies. than some *** aftermarket 16" or 17" chromes?? the way i see it, they make you're car look like a cheep piece of sh!t or a jap car..... i thought the point of working on Fords, or holdens is to keep the muscle car going, not a matchbox car. : |

Also I didn't put **** on stockies once, just defending myself after you had a whinge about my damn blue floormatts you sooks. Also if you prefer having your car look cheap with stockies, then fine, that's your choice! But if I prefer to have my car look like a 'piece of sh!t/jap car' then that's MY choice. Also, fine, I will redefine stockies to 'steelies'. Also if you are going to look at it that way, does that mean that the rims on a typhoon or gtp, hsv etc are stockies as well? Cheers for turning this into a shitfight, but I'm always up for a good argument

you want to talk about cheap? that red paint on your rocket cover looks like it didn't cost much. either you can't spray or it was less than five bucks. in addition, your wheels didn't cost sh!t, they were stock.
by the way, do the kids at school think your a badass for calling us sooks? grow some balls tough guy |

Well once again if you read the thread you would realize that the timing chain snapped and bent 5 valves on the old head, so I got a tickford head to replace it

Nice car mate, i've got a manual EF too it cames standard with the tickford head. ;) My rocker cover was the same so I stripped all of the paint off and am in the process of polishing it. Good luck with the EF.
