I found a good spot for my navman. There was a phone cradle in my car when I got it and I was unable to get a car kit for my phone.
so today I took the hand set piece off and screwed my Navman bracket to the flat part. My Navmans been great but I only use every now and then. I didn’t like leaving it stuck on the windscreen so I would take it inside and then forget it when I needed it , so now its sits in my console ready for action when I need it. A few photos.

Thats good spot for it. Out of sight, out of mine, as cars are getting broken into for their sat nav that sit on the dash.

I think you should find power leads in the console as well??? If not I would run them there. That way you wouldnt use the cigeratte lighter. Just a thought.
BTW I notice youre tage says forte?? Is that forte with ghia interior?? |

Wiring diagrams will help with that. But either in or under the console most modern cars have wiring for a mobile phone

if you really felt like it you could always go down to supercheap or somewhere and get an actual cigarette lighter socket and fit it into the centre console, inside that storage bit, wire it up and there you go
