My mate had a 5.0L fairmont EB and he said he had an FMX gearbox in it...
I am confused thou cause he said it was a 4speed Auto but FMX only made 3speeds... And I was also woundering would that gearbox fit and be able to use in me 3.9L EA... Apparentle it was fully manulised as well.. So can anyone help me to identify the gearbox... Cheers James

EB Falcons came out with BTR autos. Unless he's hooked up an oldskool X-series auto (Borgy, FMX or C-series), it'll be your everyday BTR. Are you certain it's fully manualised?
Also they're all 3-speeds ;) Which gearbox to fit your EA? The FMX? Nup. The 5.0 BTR? Different bellhousing and input shaft. A BTR for an I6 would be your best bet. They're plentiful. |
