Default Wheel Questions

Can anyone plz tell me why AU-BA wheels won't fit onto a pre-au (ef)

Dont know all that much, but they rub or something, or sit far in .... In order to fit AU-BA wheels on a pre-AU you will need to use spacers or adapters, wheel king and ttf supply those...

Spaces aren't usually the best solution, because the weight of the car isnt taken buy the hub once theyre on.

Not sure if they are legal either...

They sit too close and rub,

Theres a chunk of metal about an inch thick that pre-AU wheels have that extends them further from the hub and brake assembly which can be substituted with hub adapters to allow AU wheels to fit onto pre-AU models.

There are plenty of aftermarket wheels with an offset designed for pre-AU cars. Have a look at the database, its on here somewhere.

pre AU = +6 offset
post AU = +35 offset
