Hello all....
I've noticed some water dripping, usually when i top up the wiper reservoir when I'm at the pump, from underneath the fender area infront of the driver's side tyres, just below the Wiper reservoir. Thinking it was probably my clumsiness of not pouring water properly into the reservoir, I ignored it. However, when I noticed it dripping on occasions where i did not top-up the wiper reservoir, I was worried and decided to take the matter to Ford telling them that I suspected the wiper reservoir was leaky. They say they will have a look at it. After checking, they said that the reservoir was not cracked nor was it leaking. I'm wondering... if it wasn't the wiper reservior, what could be dripping water down that area? Could it be the air-con condensate water? I know this is a small issue but I just wanna be sure. Thanks for yr replies. =) |

My first thought was aircon condensation.
Perhaps drive it for a day without aircon and see what happens. Other thoughts guys?

melbzetec I agree with you. Drive without aircon on for a day. If it leaks go back to Ford and see what they have to say.

could also be a slightly loose coolan hose clamp releasing just a touch of water.. jump under the bonnet and give the coolant pipes a good wiggle around, check if any of it is loose. im pretty sure the Focus has screw-type hose clamps, so a flathead screwdriver is all you'll need to tighten it up.
my money is on air con condensation though, it's most likely to be the problem Uni/. |

Uni wouldn't the coolant be green or orange. Sorry I'm not sure what colour the LS Focus has. I know mine has orange(red) and you can tell when that leaks
