Default 3.9l block with a tickford xr6 4.0l head?

I'm sure this has already been said but I can't seem to find where. Is it possible to use a 3.9l block with a xr6 4.0l head? If so, is it a bad mix or a good mix together?

I beileve im doing this soon as i have a ticky head to go on my 3.9L should not be a problem at all!

i tihnk there was a thread about this some time back if this could work, as far as i know it should work fine, theres not much difference in internals...

goes good
jim mock built it"? seems to work alright =)

i think someone said on here with the standard 3.9 bottom end you end up with slightly higher compression? correct me if im wrong but...

It will lower compression. EA have dished pistons.
