There's only hype because England won The Ashes for the first time in almost 20 years.
And with that comes a bandwagon. I feel that many people, like the Grand Final are not going to the Boxing Day Test for the match. They are going for the occasion. I've been to Boxing Day every year since 2000 and I go there on the day and get a great seat. But like the World Cup, everybody likes to act like they're 'fanatics' where in reality they're only responding to hype. I can't wait until the rivalry becomes boring again so we can get back to sport, rather than festivals. But I am looking forward to some good cricket. |

G'day mate I think you might have hit the nail on the head there! Maybe I should be glad that I'm not going because I think there will probably be plenty of tools there, maybe not so many on the weekdays but who knows. There has been that much BS in the cricket world lately I just want to concerntrate on the cricket, I still can't believe what happened to Hair (Hare?). I just hope that the series is well fought and that of course we come out on top. cheers |
