Installing a different mode thermostat will require different fan settings. I would only do it with a tune.

Not necessarily. As long as the thermostat opens once the engine is hot enough that ecu is no longer in warm up cycle, there is no issues...

Fans still kcik in when hot enough...

When it opens before ecu has come off warm up you need to play with the tune....

Tested all this on my BA and have no issues...

When using the edit, cooler detonation should allow more timing... Careful with heat ranges on the 6's but, too cold will cause adverse wear on cylinders and valves.....

i found with mine since the tune hasnt been altered for it temp will just rise slowly to just under half (a little lower than stock) if the point where the thermos come in was altered it would keep it a little more stable. mine seems to wander a little.

fans will kick in when hot enough yer im not sure if the t is any different but with the na high level on the thermos doesnt come in till half way and temp will just creep up slowly defeating the point of the thermostat. with the thermostat fitted and a tune that doesnt suit im really relying on the weather on a cold cold cold night it will sit at the 1/3rd point but in warmth or traffic itll just creep up and the thermos stay on low till it gets to half.

I am using BPT one - opens at 82 Dg, Clecius. Not sure by what you are referring to mate.
