Hi mud flaps are the only thing stopping me from dropping the EA on its guts. Please give me your views. Should they stay or go ?

pis$ em off, they look crap IMO, who cares if mud gets chucked up on the side of the car, it can be washed off. i'd just be worried about stone chips, but as far as i know i've never had any problems there.

  : Seriously......I think on dark coloured cars you can get away with it, but if its white or a really light colour then yeah, there not the best. Could always trim them

Take em off, or get used to scraping them, and they are very stiff so expect the car to bottom out on them and give you a scare pending how low you go.
+1 for take em off.

Being so stiff they make the hellest noise when they touch the ground. Sounds like your wheels bottoming out in the arches! They eventually start to wear down however to a more 'streamlined height'...
I wrecked a car that had flaps so i slapped them on for a few months but they eventually cracked and broke due to mashing the ground. Ive got another set of a metes car so if i can chase down matching front and rear sunvisors i will put mine back on for sure....!!

My Sprint is lowered (superlows on front & lows on rear) & has the mud flaps on ......
Main reason is to try to stop the stone chips ....... I have been on some mongrel roads & the only time Ive had them scrape at all is over our railway crossing into home ............ This topic is one of personal choice & the choices will be varied ............. best way to go about it is think about why you want or need the mudflaps in the first place ..... |
