Hey.
This has been a strange problem with my car for a while now. When taking off the power is not "linear". As it gets just past 2,000rpm it "slumps" in power, then a few 100rpms later it picks up again, it does this right thru the rev range. SO The car revs fine in Neutral, so could it be the Gear Box, or the engine has trouble when load is applied. (in gear) I changed the Spark plug leads with no difference. Could it be the coil pack? Car is a 96 EF I6 Sedan, 223,000, reco head. Please give me a clue guys. |

yeah i had the same problem, only under load and it was plugs/lead combination. try changing ur plugs and see how that goes

it might also be a fuel related problem. when was the fuel filter last changed??

the fuel filter is bolted to the chassis rail under the car next to the back passanger wheel, thats if it in the same spot as the eb's. ther are like $15 from autobarn. simpl and can'r hurt evan if its not it.
