i've been thinking about chopping the roof off an EA fairmont that i have siting around, just for fun really but i don't want it to sag, anyone have any info on how much reinforcement it would need.i was thinking of cutting open the sills and inserting large box steel inside , then welding them in then putting the sills back on.any segestions??

mmmm.... make it a targa top
just some tube down the sills. and then maby do some cross brace to stop the car "flexing"

hmm this should be interesting! it can be done, I've seen other cars being done. should make it a 2 door while your at it.

want be rego'd so don't have to worry about engineering. just be for fun.also i want to leave it a four door for something different.but do you guys think just the steel box down the sills would be enough.when i say box i mean like 100mmx 100mm x 5mm thick.

yep, and its pretty crap lol....
but there are a few ok cars in it..... the momo VS burnout ute is in it, as is a quick glimpse of the EL XR8 Sequential eh... its worth buying anyway |
