Default au i6 edit question?

i have a couple of question's concerning the au edit.
can the edit control the afr's and spark advance from idle to 2400 rpm ?
is anyone running the edit with a decent cam and head work and if so how does it go?
thanks ,jake

Yes.It controls idle, off idle, part throttle,3/4 throttle and full throttle. It makes the car hammer if it the tuner knows what he is doing. If you do a bigger cam and head it should hammer harder if you are genuinely getting more air into it as you can add more fuel and the car will go faster across the rpm range from idle. Si far I am a huge sceptic of headwork as no one has produced positive difference on a dyno or 1/4 mile form before to after.

I'm sure you can, a lot of blown BA's getting tuner with the edit, so I don't see why not. Best ask CAPA direct, I have found them punctual in the past regarding queries.

As for your q FS5. As Stav said, but as for my car, I have no headwork, but a JMM Dev3HL cam and the thing hammers. Tuning gave me a nice flat torque curve and good peak power. Highly recommend it especially if you get a good tuner.

thaks for the info
the reason i asked was because i wasn't sure if they could ajust the AFR's when they are running in closed loop mode or what ever below 2400rpm's.

The edit/flash tune updates the fuel tables and spark tables plus others such as torque reduction strategy, auto shift oints, shift firmness, temp the thermo fans come on, etc etc - basically anything and everything electronically controlled in the engine/drivetrain. All of this happens in the standard ECU (computer), and overwrites what was there from the factory. So it is tuning the computer that currently runs your car - it's kind of like adding more RAM to your existing PC; it does the same job, but does it better. Or maybe it's like upgrading from Windows 3.11 to Windows XP??? LOL.
