Default Someone do this...

I was bored and stuff.

I thought of a mad project for someone to do.

I shall call it, R.I.P BT1 project.

Anyways, step 1.

Comb through the trading post, car sales, car point and auctions for anything that looks like an EX VIC-Pol EAII white cop car. I know they are rare these days, and I am one of the lucky and honoured ones to own one but others should really get the opportunity own such a unrecognised model.

Benefits in these include factory extra lighting, de badging and a Fairmont loom. 215 width 14's also were standard in place of the space saver 185's featured on most GL's BITD.

Make sure you see OPT 20 on the comp plate then hand over the dosh, all $500 (any more and you're getting ripped) and take h ome this piece of motoring history which is up there with the yellow BT1's.

STEP 2. Exterior.

Wash the mould off it, strip it to the bone and respray it in the factory white with a little bit of prismatique in it. Find some mint headlights and orange indicators, buff 'em up and chuck 'em on.

Powder coat the black steelies in black again coz no doubt years of replacing hubcaps will have the hot factory dish lookin like crud, and chuck some Goodyear Regatta 215/65/14's on the mofo. Eagle GA pluses also look good.

Cut all 4 springs the sills or no less than 70mm off the ground and you need to call your mates to help guide you over a speed hump at the local Shoppin centre cruise strip.

Now that's looking mint it's time for the interior.

STEP 3. Interior.

Buy a Autometer 1" shift light, and a Autometer Cobolt series BOOST GAUGE. Although it doesn't seem like it now, you WILL require these when you do the turbo setup.

Bolt the Boost gauge to the a pillar in a way it can be seen from the back of the car etc. etc. and mount the shift light to the top of the steering column.

STEP 4. Motor.

OK. Now you need to make some serious power to match the toughness of this thing. I was thnking along the lines of a AUII dedicated gas motor as I believe they feature stronger rods over the standard ones.

Also purchase 2 headgaskets, a decomp plate, garrett TO4Z with .96 exhaust a/r, tial 45mm wastegate and a tuned length manifold. That's about 3k plus you'll need some decent engine management, dyno tuning, cooler piping, dump pipe, exhaust, oil lines and fittings etc. etc. That's about $5k all up depending on where you get you're ****.

Slam it all together and wind the boost to 16PSI. Get a long *** pod filter and stick it as close to the turbo as possible and mount it behind the Power steering pump somewhere so that the DOSE ECHOES hard out. It'll all be choice and worth it when you're stuck on the speed hump at the local IGA and the 16 year olds are looking at how low your car is, then you can dose it so hard when you manage to get off that their skirts blow up and ****.

Really, the tuning part is optional. Remember the word is "Street car" you don't need power you need a hard dose. You can't use the power on the street you will get the car impounded then what will you do. The dose comes in handy on many an occasion.

STEP 5.

Get the plates RIPBT1.

You're set now. There will be invitations to get married to hot chicks flowing in to your house from all over Australia. Women's underwear will be thrown at the car at Noble maccers.

Best. EA. Ever.

**** I'm BORED.

Done deal, i'll get started on it tomorrow.

One thing though, I don't think it should be a 6, it should be a TTV8.

What's a wastegate?

What does "dose" mean?

I think my mate has a dose in he's EA.

Some dirty LOLIFE bought the TUFCAB plates. Someone already stole that idea.

In case anyone sees a hot looking ex cab driving around with the plates TUFCAB cruising around, I want you to remember that it was the brainchild of SUNDEEP.

It's NO CAB under the bonnet.

Get it Rips.

You have it be a non-ex-cab owner to get those plates. You can get ISACAB Rips. That'd set the yellow engine bay off nicely.

rofl, something tells me that aint the std motor. say you pick up a taxi au for less than 3 grand, how much for a turbo conversion? another 3 maybe? so for 6000 or less, you can get a damn quick car, with no cop attention that will most likely beat some v8's on friday nights. or even a ex taxi e series for like $500 damn you guys for giving me ideas

TUFCAB is a Geelong car as has been mentioned, and yes it's a canary yellow VN 5.0, pulled an 11.5@122mph on it's first outing. Very impressive car and sounds tough as nails!

Oh and Dan... you're right the number plate needs 747 on the end, bit like these ones sitting on my desk... :P
