Hey Guys,
Due to the fact that I'm a NSW P plater would I be allowed to change my diff in the XR6 taking in mind the P Plate Mod restrictions in place? Cheers |

I reckon you're safe, unless you meet some anal cop who loves looking at absolutely everything, which I honestly doubt it. Before they have a chance to check, just tell them where the nearest Krispy Kremes is and they will forget why they even pulled you over.
IMO, the only reason why cars crash is because people are idiots. Drive responsibly and your diff will go unnoticed. |

Diff gears, hi stall converters, flash tune etc are all "safe" mods which are relatively difficult to detect by the average copper. Go ahead and do it

If you mean change the diff ratio then from the outside it will still have the little metal tag that denotes what ratio it is, as well as the code for the diff on the compliance plate. Depending on what model it is. I doubt a cop would pull you over, rip the diff cover off and count the crown wheel and pinion ratio.

It would be interesting to see what the results would be if the car was a wreck and insurance company found out, oh wait they wont void your claim for something like that.

It would be fine, its not a engine performance modification.
Exhaust, flash tune, intake, diff, stall, are all safe mods that nobody will pick on you for... |
