Default Perth Motorplex - Fast Friday 16/02

Anyone going?

I've had my harness and tailshaft loop installed so I'll be getting the car scrutineered for my super street licence.

Cool weather on Friday plus a prepped track should make for some decent runs. I'm heading down with some ls1 folk, and will be trying for consistant et's. Last time I went I came runner up and won a trophy and entry for another Fast Friday.

Very slow night, couple of oil downs stuffed caused about 1.5-2hr delay, with some rain thrown in for good measure.

I stuffed my first run, taking off in 2nd, running 12.2 @ 122mph with a 2.48 60ft. 2nd run ran 11.95 @ 122mph, 3rd run ran 11.83 @ 123mph which is on par with what I normally run.

To be honest the Fast Friday was quite a non-event. Never mind.

I saw him run Wazza from WA Performance Centre (11.78) when he ran the 11.9.

How did F6 270 go? I saw the 11.6 - 11.65 dial in on his window, quite a bit lower than his qualifying times.

he did one qualifier and ran a 11.9 with his 320 rwkw tune then loaded in his 350 and all the dramas happened with the track, then when he went to run it blew the pipe of the throttle body adaptor and he went home. 3 tenths isnt alot of his qualifier run to his dial in considering the difference in the tunes hes was going to try.

What did u run in your qualifier and what did u dial in if u dont mind me asking?

Geez that's back luck for him..... probably why the smart-**** never made any comments about tuning like he did when he fluked his 11 second run the last meet. What's the saying, "careful who's toes you step on on the way up as these are the same people who will kick your **** on the way down" or something like that. It's better to be humble with a win or a good result, that way people won't redicule you if you lose.

My only qualifier was 12.2 @ 122mph as I took of in 2nd, then kicked back to 1st. Knowing that I new the car would run 11.8 as it did before. It's consistant, and not a one-hit wonder. My dial-in was 11.80, but someone erased the 8, so my dial-in became 11.000. I ran 11.95 @ 122.61, 2.15 60ft. 3rd run same dial-in, but I didn't worry about the car in the other lane. lost the run with a 1.37 r/t, used the run to attempt a different launch. 2.07 60ft, 11.83 et @ 122.44mph.

I'm happy with the result. I know the car is consistant 11.8 second car, and can now focus on improving the launch.

Last meet he ran more then one 11 second run as he did the meet before so it cant be his car your reffering to surely?

I removed the seat base to install the harness. Had to drill 2 holes for the mounting brackets. Tailshaft loop installed the the same time as part of ANDRA requirements. The Chief Scrutineer is keeping an eye out on all cars that run quicker than 11.99. Get caught racing after he's asked to you arrange the safety requirements and you'll get kicked out.
