i think it will last about as long as it takes for you to get pulled over and defected. As for how long the engine and parts will last, I guess as others have said it all depends on how you treat them. I'm a big fan of T5's i've had them in all my previous cars and they have put up with a lot of abuse.

Good luck with the project, doing a turbo setup on a Falcon for under 1k is an achievement in itself. Be sure to put up lots of photos and videos of it in action.

For that reason there will not be pictures, videos or such posted up on the forums, sorry. Regarding defects, I'm not the sort of person to cruise on a friday/saturday night up and down a 5km stretch of road all night long. I've built it for my enjoyment, not to do 'chap laps' and try and get attention. It is daily driven, quiet with the new exhaust, and I've done it for my benefit only so I think the chances of being pulled up are minimal considering it looks almost standard except the ride-height.

It'll be fine for a while, but seeing as you just got it up and running I know for a fact it'll be off the road again in the next few weeks, IMO the hardest part in a turbo setup is getting it to run right reliably, once you iron out all the small problems you get it'll be fine.

I voted a month :P

mine lasted a month before it did a bearing.. saying that it was an oil pressure issue because the car was too hot that did it.
lasted about another month with the stuffed bearing and was only replced due to starting a new job.
it should last ages.. my only complaint with mine is low oil pressure :/

Jared I've given you a month from when you get the niggling little things sorted (like the TPS so you can finally oper her up a bit more) but only based on the condition of your T5

I think your motor will last a little longer than that, although i'd be suprised to see a year.
Are you likely to have extra diff/axle troubles now that there's more power going through? I'm guessing if you put the 17's back on and start to give it full power coming out of corners you may finally snap an axle (but I though you would have snapped it long ago so I may be wrong again)

As long as the tune is spot on I reckon it'll last for years. And even then it won't go 'POP' and **** itself, it will just gradually get worse, slowly lose compression, start blowing oil smoke etc etc. The Falcon engines are strong as. When it comes to turbo's it's all about the tuning.
