Default Eb dyno shame

The black mac dyno day is on this saturday so i thought i would enter the eb to see what she's made of. Still very unsure of what hp reading it will get so i thought i would put the feelers out to see if any one has a car similar to mine that has recently been on the rollers. The specs are as follows eb fairmont s2 v8 auto, mandrel cat back lukey, ultimate 98 fuel,unifilter,cai,30deg timing and a splash of octane booster. Its done about 300000km[busted odometer]So if you guys have any idea of horsepower id appreciate any input.I would be happy with 150 odd hp at the tyres????

Yep 30 deg is a lot but being that the motor isnt too fresh i can get away with it running 98 fuel and its never pinged once even on a 40 degree day. The guy at ford said it was too much also but as far as im concerned throw as much timing at it as it will take before it starts pinging.i will let yous know how it goes :

They run 10 deg standard.

150 hp is realistic.

Well i just got back from the dyno and the eb got 158.9 hp atw, pretty good for a tired old windsor.I expected about 150 so it all worked out good. The timing in my car is perfectly stock actually coz my manual says 30btdc and its the six that is 10 degrees not the v8 LTDHO

Thats great to hear great work. I wish my LTD 5.0ltr had that much power. Mine leans to the **** house after 110km/hr. I got only 106rwkw. I was not happy and i still don't know wat is wrong?

I like 158hp a lot better than 118kw it just rolls off the tongue heaps better. There was only two cars with under 300at the tyres, one was mine and the other was a supercharged ls1 with 298hp.Seems like every man and his dog has over 300hp these days[happy days]Damn id be happy with 250 hp after i freshen her up with a stroker kit[keep on dreamin, maybe one day]
