Default Horn/Cruise Fuse keeps blowing ~ weeklyish

G'day all,

Just wondering if others have experienced similar problems, or know of the cause. The 15amp fuse under the bonnet which is shared between the horn and cruise control seems to blow approx every week or so. I use the criuse daily and the horn when necessary. The other day I had the cruise set to approx 52 km/hr (going through a long 50 Km zone that's often has cameras) and blasted my horn at this idiot who was reversing down the road ahead (thought he didn't see me) and everything was fine. Cruise worked the next day but the day after, nothing. This has got me stumped.

Thanks,

Rob

I wonder f it's a similar problem to mine - my AU wagon keeps blowing the wiper fuse. All 3 (wipers, cruise, & horn) go through the steering wheel clock spring, so it could be that. I just replace my fuse and it's OK until it blows the next time (you guessed it - usually when I need wipers).

Didn't think of the steering wheel liason, but makes sense. To date, fortunately, have never had a blown wiper fuse. Thanks JC.
