hi everyone
i want to change the boot, tail lights (maybe headlights) and the strips that lead around the side of my ed but i dont no what to do with it. Looks is standard green factory color, 16" alloys, and aftermarket exhaust. So first off i REALY hate the black plastic plate on the boot between the taillights lights. I want that either to go and replace it with a different boot that maybe doesnt have the plastic or changed around a bit or if not def recon it with some spray paint. Im not sure what i want to do with the tail lights. Ive seen a few e series on here that are black/dark colored. But ive seen some alteza tail lights that fit on the e series but i think i heard somewhere that they are ilegal. If i am goin to change the headlights i realy have absolutly no idea what to do to them...? What color side strip things do you reckon i should get for around the side of the ed (once again its standard green), i have black/white ones but i dont like the white because they get dirty so easily so thats def going to go. ive still got to lower it abit aswell but im not realy in a rush to do that even though it does look pretty stupid at the rear. but i want to get some ideas on changing the look so any idea would be great, and anything else that i havent said that you guys think would look would be awesome thanks |

The black plastic plate between the taillights is called the rear garnish. All EA-EDs had them. Some people have colour coded them, but that can look quite crap. The best option would be to get a Fairmont one. It blends into the taillights a lot better.
IMO Altezza taillights look crap. The standard ones look better As for the side moulds, I recommend chrome (like on Fairmonts). It looks heaps classier

Go for an EB or ED Fairmont or Fairmont Ghia garnish. EA ones are different
Here's an EB one I found on Ebay that shows what they look like http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EB-FORD-GHIA-...ayphotohosting

If you want darker tail lights by the way go to autobarn and ask for a can of Nightshade. Its in a spray can and its a spray on tint for your lights. btw as far as i know it is illegal

You could attempt this for your headlights if you are handy, BA inserts into EA headlights.

You'll be able to make your taillights darker with no hassles. Mine are black and I've put in halogen globes in the indicators and I've never had any hassles with cops.
The reason I used halogen globes is they fill out more of the taillight, therefore making it look brighter. BTW colour coded boot garnish's looks dodge IMO. Either go the fairmont, standard one or paint it black.

Yeah, but i don't like the look of 'em, the red reflector strip just spoils them.
Besides the rear end will look alot cleaner this way... |

What I'm doing with mine is getting some mags, SL Kings, clear indicators and altezza tail lights. My strips on the sides are black and red (being an Spac). Car is white. Might give you some idea's.
