Default xr6T engine into EL

I done a search but no luck.

Just wondering if an Xr6T engine will go into an EL.

If so, what needs to be done.

Thanks.

I believe the sump and bonnet need major modification, and if you get a gearbox that wasnt a BTR or T5 (ie, the 6spd auto and manuals) the gearbox x-member probably wont line up. I dont think the shifters will line up whatever happens.

Electronically, I have no idea.

The main problem you will find with the BA engine is bonnet clearance. It is a lot taller than the EA-AU engines. There is an EL XR with an XR6T engine, named JETXR. For it, he cut a small hole in the bonnet so the rocker cover would clear. Dansedgli is also doing the XR6T engine in his EA but he's trying hard to get it to fit without chopping up the bonnet.

If someone can get a RB26DETT (twin turbo nissan skyline) motor into an EB then surely a ford motor will go in.. LOL..

I still haven't found anymore info on this car.. So bummed my mate didn't take any pics..

Cheers,
Nik

RB26 is 2.6L, 4L is obviously 4 litres - the decks on the blocks are different heights, obviously to allow for the falcons longer stroke...so the 4L is taller.

The TPS on a BA motor plugs straight into a EF plug? Feel free to e-pwn me if you like, but I'm pretty sure BA don't actually have a "TPS" as such - it is part of the fly by wire throttle...
