Default Startermotor

Not a tech question but more monatary. Anyone who has replaced a starter with a new/reco one, what sort of damage to the wallet did it run at. Note wether it was reco/exchange or new. Cheers

recoed ones should be 180> and new 250> and they are fitted

mine was mid 100's frm memory. i was expecting it to hurt more.

Every time I've changed a starter motor it's been free. I haven't ever sold one out of any wreck from memory.

Needfordspeed has an AU one that's near new for sale. If you're keen send him a PM.

reco $107-only lasted 8 months
out of my brothers wreck $0-dosn't have a problem.

yeah that top bolt is hard to get to. i'd go for a 2nd hand one.

Brand New Ford BF starter $118- Retail at Motor Traders, not too bad.

They are a whole heep smaller than the EL starter, and WAY quieter.

XR though to BF 6cyl all use the same starter
