Anyone know the intricate detail of re-mounting the brake light switch onto the pedal of the EL? I got the old one off, pulling a red/orange spring clip off, a green nylon space ring fell down, and the switch slides off the back of the big stainless pivot bar.
Trying to fit the new one on, I am totally lost as to what goes where. pix below. Thanks! |

i would say (without knowing for sure) that the green ring goes INSIDE the black unit and then that slides over the shaft at the brake pedal and the clip goes through the hole in the shaft to hold it all on.

Slide the pedal lever (the black bit) over to the passenger side of the shaft.
See o the switch itself, there is a hole and a recess.. Slide the recess over the shaft, then put the shaft thru the hole.. Add the green nylon washer and then put the split pin back the the hole to stop it all sliding off

Hmm, anyone got pictures showing the whole process? I have a similar problem in my EF GLi as well.
