Hey Y'all,
I'm starting a business very soon, and will need a ute. At the moment I've got my Fez, still got $23k owing. I don't know if I should sell the Fez with the audio gear or sell them seperately. Any thoughts? I'm think of upgrading to the XR8 or XR6T. Cheers. |

hehehe depends on what youd prefer. personally id go I6T cause it would be cheaper on fuel. and its alot easier to boost power if you need to hual stuff. and id say they may be cheaper second hand.
XR6T FTW for me.

I dunno how the turbo deal with loads n stuff. Many ppl chosed the XR8 for heavy towing.

The turbo is just as good.
The XR8 feels like ****, its got nothing down low, and a short power band JUST before the cutout. GO the 6T |

XR6 Turbo is superior in every way except one - towing. They can only tow 1600kg vs 2300kg in the Auto XR8. Don't know why, but that's just what Ford says.

Auto or manual? Have you tried the XR8? You probably should before putting the cash down.

Forget the XR8, They are rubbish if you want something fast, Even with the ZF auto, they drop revs to below the power band every gear change, and youre sitting there waiting for it to wind up again.... Great sound though! WOW!
XR6T, as the other bloke said, faster, better on fuel. Winner, you'll get the XR8 and wonder how life would have been with teh 6T instead. Like my old man.... |

Just bite the bullet man and buy a Typhoon.
My best mate has one and has it worked over big time. 356kw AT THE WHEELS!!! It will cost you, but you have the peace of mind knowing that its the fastest 6 on the road!

One thing I really liked about the Volkswagen Golf R32 was the DSG. But now I've experienced something very similar in a rear wheel drive turbo V6, I'm stoked with it. |

Everyone craps on about how the turbos are faster, and thats great, if thats all you care about. You can only go so quickly on public roads, so unless you are off to Calder every week then WGAF. Stock vs Stock, the XR8 is actually quicker (by a bees dick) to 100. Be interested to hear your opinion on the XR8. Oh and if you do go turbo, for gods sake to refer to it as a V6 again....LOL

Even though i own an XR6T if i was going to do a lot of hauling i'd probably want the insurance and extra towing power of the XR8. Just get an aftermarket exhaust and you'll love the rumble the XR8 can provide.
