Anyones clear side indicators starting to yellow?

Hi All,

Did a bit of a search but couldn't find anything. Has anyone else had their clear side indicators start to yellow? I'm guessing that with our AU's now getting a little older, this will become more and more common.

I thought I'd just buy a new set, but figure I may as well give polishing them a go first.

I've heard that brasso metal polish may work, but does anyone have any other ideas?

Will post up before and after pics when I'm done!

Go the brasso or good metal polish and your done.

I use Plexus or Wolfgang plastic sealant to protect mine so they look as new. You can buy specialist plastic polish but if you have some metal or paint polish it may do the trick.

They came up alot better, but probably need to be done a bit better. I'll grab something like Autosol and do it each time I wash the car till they look new again!

So once I polish it, I could use something like that to seal the shine?

Don't need anything else than waht you used just some elbow grease but they look ok.

Needs a wash ? that depends on how far you want to go, but those indicators snap out from memory so while they are out hit up the area around the hole with some paint cleaner / wax (or at least some wash n wax), also remove the black rubber and treat with some trim detailer then re assemble, the outcome will be another 100%

Very good idea! Next time I wash it, I'll give that a try. Thanks for the tip!
