Default 6cyl EA running gear int TD corty

Hi all, any advice greatly appreciated. Need to do a bit of homework on this one. : ) Would like to put a 6 cyl EA motor (88 model) into TD cortina 6cyl model but has a 4 in it atm. Anyone with any info please, also with changing the diff from the EA into the corty. once again thanks for any ideas.

don't know my cortina's entirely well but.

Pretty sure TD 4cyls have a different fire wall than the 6cyl one so they'd be alot of cutting and welding involved and why not go an Eb 4L instead of the ea 3.9?

yep possible flat firewall...
and the diff will be too long so youll have to shorten it and change the drums to cortina ones unless you wnt 5 stud on the back

not to mention custom engine mounts... need to run a EFI pump.
modify your sump because the bowl is at the wrong end..
sort out the ecu wiring and other crap needed to get the motor ticking over.

its a bit of a tight fit.. only about 10 people i know of have this conversion done.

but if ur persistant and good with welding and fabrication then it'll be easy.
