Default What is a Fair Price ???

Hey all just after a few opinions dont really care too much as its not my purchase . but as I was asked to test drive and offer some words of wisdom I thought I would run it passed the multitudes :.... what we have is a FLT (Fairlane by Tickford) build #23 of 106 has all the Tickford options same as the EL GTs gtp heads H/P coated headers roller rockers ext.premo brakes .leather trim, 6 stacker. Tickford mats 130Ks on it full service histoty with books, has only had 2 owners with 1 being the dealers employee, looks & drives like a new car .. motor is as sweet as pulls like a train allthough the sales man suffered rectal pucker when it snapped side ways in the wet with 4 of us in there .. Twice (mental picky drivers seat me, passenger seat sales dude, back seat Kev (blownxr8ute) & mark(pinkbits) the look on the sales dudes face was priceless)
here"s a picky or 2 just had the phone camera only ok quality.. so what do you think a fair price would be from a dealer has reg till 12th month, 4 new tyers .2 year complete warranty cheers whoosha ..

and the personalised plates come with it '''

I sold my '95 NF Ghia 16 months ago, not a Tickford but with 275 x 18's rear, 235 x 18's front, Koni's all around, stainless system, mint condition sunroof, DBA Rotors, 240k's, just a beautiful car and I got 8k for it. I know that I sold it cheap but I wanted to get into the GT quickly. The Fairlane owed me just on 70k from new (no ) and it was all that you could ask in a NF but not Tickford, as I said.

The thing that you are looking at should be worth at least 10-12 in my opinion.

Damn that thing is nice... I want one...

14k seems to be ball park for these, which is damn cheap considering what they are and their rarity...
Looks like it could use a good detail though, under the bonnet is pretty clean though.

If you really want it make him a fair offer. You can spend 10K on an engine rebuild these days..

The thing is it will hold its value and at some time in the future increase. Where else will you find a low K straight FBT?

Sadly that gives the car yard some advantage lucky for you he probably doesn,t realise what he has..

What a bargain, IMHO now the Fairlane is dead these things will hit their stride one day and we'd all be sitting here saying 'wish Id bought that when it was 14K!'
