Default My dream car!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1990-EA-Ford-...QQcmdZViewItem

I cannot believe that this thing has bids on it at $300! Even worse, it's below reserve still!

Yeah I know, but still!

It's an EA ex-taxi, that's been around the clock (note the 100k quoted as the mileage) & the gas system is probably totally stuffed anyway. You can find kits for this sort of money or less.

My favourite bit is the "specially ordered" seat covers. They look awesome!

people always forget that taxis are the best looked after fords, they go through extremely strict routine servicing, and even one at 800,000ks would drive better then buying a ford off a p plater with 250,000ks on it. although in this case, the taxi would have been out of service at least 12-15 years, so my point isnt too valid for this particular car.

Possibly. But then your still left with a dirty yellow faded banged up POS with an interior that smells like 1000 butts.

I'd daily that. Gas, column shifts are better for handbrake turns and it's got the Dukes of Hazzard wheels ready for a confed flag and some crazy driving.

You could get GLs with multipoint, but I'd say you're right that this one would be CFi. Most of the taxis were CFi I think.

Multipoint was optional across the range except for Ghia (where it was standard)

Here's a page from the brochure scans that proves this

In the "description" section halfway down the page, it says Transmission: Manual

Under that box, it says 4 speed auto though

Did you know they say that taxis have the healthiest motors because they never stop and they run at constant temp all the time, as the cabbies do not turn the car of while waiting at the ranks.

As for this on WOW i want it, its what every e-series member craves for. lol
