Hi there, I'm new to the forum and to Escorts, but just picked myself up a 1980 burnt orange 4 door RS2000 as a project. My question is how do I verify what numbers the car should have to prove its a genuine RS. Also the paint code is Z, is this burnt orange? Great site, Thanks for your help.

Hi Seano, thanks for the info mate, she's genuine so that's great news. Great to be able to get help so easily!! Also mine has 15inch wheels but what was the factory option for this model. Did they have the standard steel wheels or were alloys factory optioned? Everyone I see seems to have aftermarket wheels fitted. Thanks again!

Steel wheels were the standard with alloy "Volante" rims as a factory option.
