Default fiesta xr4 = st ??

hi everyone,

the big question i have is is the australian relased ford fiesta xr4 the same car as the fiesta st in the uk??

YES....however my local Ford dealer will have a debate about that!

I went there yesterday to grab an oil filter for the XR5 and the sales guy came up to me and said "we have the baby sister of your car in the showroom, do you fancy looking at the XR4"?

I had a quick look!

The funny thing was tho' the sales guy said "it goes well as it has a 2.0L 4 Cyl TURBO"...I just laughed and walked.

Too funny.

YES...

same as the XR5T is the same as the Focus ST in the UK

Welcome btw.

Exactly the same, only has some small differences to apply to the Australian ADRs.

Just go to ford.co.uk and compare the spec sheet to the one in ford.com.au

But yeh Fiesta XR4 and Fiesta ST are identical twin, they just have different name.

I feel Ford Aus should add "XR" on the seats and that silver part of the steering wheel or something.... and the speedo...

ford would have looked at that option but i guess it wasnt feasible from a cost point of view.

I know of one XR4 that actually has the ST on the seats... safe to assume it was one that snuck through the factory to a lucky owner.

The car we saw on Melbourne Motorshow was actually the Fiesta ST with XR4 badges
