ive ben thinking about what im goin to do with my escort. is it possible to get it regested without most of the inteior???? the reason i asked this is i want to take out all the things i dont need to make the car lighter (eg. the back seat). i also think it whould look awsome. :P i want toput racing front seats in and have no carpet on the floor. im going to have the paint wight with dark blue outskerts. the inside will be the same colors as the out. can you give me your opinion of what you think of my plains so far. thanks stephen

I have absolutely no idea if you can get a car registered without most of its interior, the paintwork sounds interesting. I have considered taking out the rear seats in my RS, but I think I want to keep the practicality of them.

you wont get a RWC without a back seat if it left the factory with one, therefore you wont get it regod (there are ways around this, check with the RTA). you can however take the back seat out after that though. cops wont like it but tell em its getting reskinned.
carpet doesnt matter at all, holes in the dash need to be filled (like if you dont have a stereo but theres a hole there - fill it or put the stereo in) along with holes in the door skins (if speakers were there and arent any more). racing seats i would do after it is regod as some RWC testers dont like them so they wont pass it. |

Get your prioritys strait first, as this is your first car don't set your hopes too high. Just aim to have the thing nice a clean looking and registered, then once you get your license and stuff, look at other things. Also you're young, young people need a back seat, for their mates, and that special lady. ;)
Good luck with it mate. first things first yeah. |

rally cars can be registered, and have no back seat or carpet, so I think it can be done... Same with the racing front seats, and in escorts as well.
