blue globes are no good for the AU you need a blue backing on the facia trimed to couve only the gague backs and not the indicator lights looks awesome

ebay have heaps, just do a search for "AU falcon dash" or something. Usually you can get them in whatever colour tickles your fancy from memory.

i was not talking about the coloured facias on ebay these will not give you blue illumination I used the blue plastic sheeting they use to colour stage lights you trim it so it only covers the gauge areas and put it on the back of the facia

Replace the middle blue LED with a red one and she'll be apples. your lights then go blue/purple/red/purple/blue, and you get to see your needles.

If it's an AU1, IIRC the red/orange strip on the back of the needle can be scraped off so it's clear, and then you can see it easily with the blue lights.

I had this done to my cluster. But In the end I decided to buy a silver fascia and replace the blue one, buy factory bulbs again to take advantage of the dimmer function which I lost when going to the blue LED's. It was a bit more work and extra cost, but I think I prefer to have it all original and the needles displaying correctly. I found at night it was too hard to see those needles. Maybe the easy fix would have been red LED's over the needles, but I just reverted back.

Got pictures? How did you stick it on without it having the glue looking messy and such?

this won't work with the outer needles

Is that right? I beg to differ - I can see all my needles fine, and just run the one red globe.
