hi i have brought a pair of 40 mill solex carbies and a manifold for a 1300 1600 xflow and was wondering how people have fitted them cause of the brake booster on a mk2 eski, if anyone could post some pics of how they have done this and how to it thanks luke

Hey mate, you can get raised intake manifolds so they will clear the booster.

yeah i was looking for one but couldnt even find one in the uk so i brought a straght one of ebay

you could use a different booster or just lower the original one, its a lot of stuffing around but worth it.

how do you lower the booster pics would pe helpful and very nuch aprecheated do you lower the hole brake booster arm or what thanks luke

i dont have a picture as yet but, you lower it the hole below the orginal one. I am talking about the holes that it bolts up to the drivers side guard. you move the top hole siply down to the next hole down (no drilling required), then redrill another hole to fix the next bolt in position. then you could make up a washer to mount it to the firewall.
it all sounds confusing, but once you look at it for a while it will come to you. cheers |
