hey all,
reason why i am posting is cause i have a series 2 au falcon forte, has done only 59,000kms and ive decided after getting a exhaust system for my ba xt, id get one for the AU, and was wondering if you could help me on the right size of cat for the AU as i dont want to cause back pressure. On the ba i have pacemaker extractors 2.5inch magnaflow cat and 2.5inch redback system. Would a similar system be the best way for the AU as in pacemaker 4499 2.5inch magnaflow cat 2.5inch redback. or can i get away with a 3 inch cat. any advice would be great. Also i know ba's have 2 different extractors from pacemaker low down and high end, whats the best option for an AU low or top end? cheers guys regards Simon

If you don't want back pressure you want the pacemaker comps (don't know the number) with the flang cut and a 3" flange welded on. Get a 3" Metal Cat, and mandrel bent 3" system

3" FTW!!!
I just had a complete 3" exhaust fitted to my ED 2 weeks ago. Its great, but my car is modified. I havent lost any bottom end power (which many people told me i would), and it goes great up top. Its getting tuned tomorrow, so hopefully it will go even better.

I have a 3 inch Mandrel bent system ready to bolt on, and a 3 inch cat. Im getting a set of Paccies (I think the comps are 4490's?). Ill take it out to the drags after this time out, and see what gains were made.

Ive got a high flow 3inch cat, and a 3inch mandrel bent system.. Goes great, no loss of power and sounds unreal. (I remember having the mass arguments over this well over a year ago when I got mine, I was one of the first with 3inch n/a). Highly recommended.. |
