had some wan-ker in a VR/VS annoy the crap out of me today (it had the standard black stockies, mega ultra super dooper low cut springs with no shocks (pogo stick : ) altezza lights and one horrible sounding sports muffler (the $30 autobarn type) ) any way he followed me for ages kept speeding up/slowing down, getting in front hitting brakes etc. a real hero. then we got on the motorway and the was traffic and i realy wanted to get away from this spastic so waited for a gap and nailed it. what do you know hes right up my (insert word here) but i soon fixed that from 40-120 i was atleast a car length in front and was slowly pulling away. he craked the ****'s and exited so i slowed down, whay the hell are there so many people that do that crap. are they bored? like do they wake up and think "thats it!!! im going out to annoy some people" : so whoever has a numberplate UBXor Y 220 (nsw- UBX 220) you deserve a pat on the back

ive had a few like that over the years.....
i look at it this way now. i have insurance. idiot u tap me and i'll take you for all you got. but the last one that tried me on i showed them what a ea looks like from the rear.... i handed his a$$ to him and he was pi$$ed. a bit unfair when his was a v8 and mines a i6 on duel fuel (mind u this was a few years ago now) but i have found it isnt a single type of car or licence type or state..... theres allways going to be idiots on the road. and there aint much we can do to stop that

ok, while we are commodore bashing...
I went to a shopping centre, parked way up the other side of the carpark away from people, This bogan and his 3 bogan mates in a VB/VC parked right next to me (grrr!) so i started up the old girl, and one goes "sounds pretty tough for a shitbox ford" I ignored them because i had a nice young (not jailbait) lady in the car with me, and i just sat there changing a CD while bogans kept saying "do a skid, do a skid" I backed out and those fools followed me nearly all the way home and were flashing their lights, on the horn constantly and throwing stuff at the XD... Lucky i took the road that goes past the copshop.... The rest is history, But i did enjoy sitting across the road in the car while they got a canary and a fistful of other fines...

I've been driving me Dad's VX since i got my P's (Going to pick up my very own EF XR6 Tomorrow).. It's a good looking car. Well looked after. 18inch mags.. But i always get guys (and gals) in Falcons pulling up beside me mucking around and just making sure i know that Holdens are crap and Fords rule.. that sort of thing, you know.
It's embarrassing, because i can never come up with a good way to let them know that i too have the blue blood lol Cant wait to pick up the Falcon. |

yeah i had a bunch....they always seem to be in packs....of guys in this late model holden (the one with the huge round a** commonly seen in white) pull up beside me on the way to a mini meet and would go hard off the line and then we they relised i didnt follow they would slow to my side until the next set of lights.
i let this go for about 3-4 more lights...then it got the better of me...they needed to be put back in their place and off their high horse. took them with 3/4 throttle...i dont think they relised i had a similar aged/sized motor under the hood of my old (1990) body after that....they left me alone and i continued peacefully to the mini meet. some just need to relise its not so much a power thing anymore its just personal choice between ford & holden. brad

again, not to bash commonwhores, but...
driving away from a local bottl'o one night with a mate and his sisiter in the back seat, a P plater in a blue vr, 4X4 drive height, 3 spoke mags and clear tail lights with a repco milo tin muffler driving up right behind me then planting it pulling up next to me and did this for about 15mins. coming up to a roundabout he nailed it again, as i watched the body roll he struggled to keep the car on a massive double laned road from not too far behind (my mate had an ed xr6) says to me just pull up to him so i can brown eye him, so ive gunned it down to second gear, out comes the a$$, the vr goes flying down the road, round a bend and caused a smash with 2 other cars, hit the first dead on and the third sandwhiching them together. He had mates with him too, couldve been worse though. thankfully it wasnt (not to say i havnt been a silly P plater - but no pinhead)

Since high skool i liked commodes cause of the VT GTS and since then i liked commodores and the EL GT so i am like a mix of both some say i must be 1 or the other so i say i like them both EFs and ELs i like same as the VS and VT Commodores.
Reality check most guys who own Commodores are young Muzzas with too much money and wayy too much time doin chap laps with the broz and its built in that Commodores are 'Fully Sic' especaly 1 model VL Turbo

Sounds like most of you guys are bagging "commodore hoons" for being irresponsible... but then you can't resist temptation either and drag them?

Racing should be kept to the track only. not on the streets where other lives are at risk.......

what makes me laugh, is the fact that i'd say 98% of people on www.fordforums.com.au have made modifications to their car, and probably 70% of that population have been performance mods.
now i dont know about any of you, and please tell me if i'm wrong, but i'd say that youve made performance mods to make your car either more powerfull/faster, right? now how many of us actually use that car with performance mods on tracks as opposed to the street? how many of us post threads on progress of power gain? now again, i dont know about the rest of you but i dont intend to gain more rwkw to be a sunday driver till im 6 foot under. NOT that i'd condone any ph uckwit behaviour on the road that especially puts others at risk, but putting your foot down or dumping the clutch every now and again... i think we'd all be guilty of that

We do not condone any illegal street racing/ activities. Any form of racing should be on the race track/ drag strip/ designated area where it is legal and a hell of a lot of fun.
I am going to close this thread as it has run its course as far as the original topic. |
