Default Auii I6 Fairmont Ghia 120,000km Service

Hi
My 6 cyl auii fairmont ghia is due for 120,000km service.I am not sure what i should get done in this service.Should i take it to the dealer or does anyone know any good trustworthy mechanics in the sydney area.Thanks for your help

120,000 km is in the "A" service category. If you do decide to take it to a dealer, bring your own oil and filter.Check the service what and when thread - it's one of the sticky threads up top in this section.

Find a guy thats convenient and If you dont know the local mechanic and want to make sure your service gets done properly Sit there and wait while it gets done,ask what items they are going to replace/check(do your home work first though ,read the owner manual).And ask for the old parts.
You dont have to do this every time just the first time to gain abit of trust in the mechanic,he will soon see you mean business.

Seems obvious but Get a quote first and shop around to get the best deal.

Failing that do it your self,its very straight forward if you have tools and an area to do so.
